UC Reasonable Accommodations and the Interactive Process Online Training

Reasonable Accommodations and the Interactive Process-  UC Online Training

Not only is it our obligation to engage in the interactive process and to provide reasonable employment accommodations in order to comply with the law, but it is the right thing to do for our employees. The Reasonable Accommodations and the Interactive Process online training prepares supervisors and managers to:

  • recognize disability-related issues in the workplace
  • discuss disability-related needs with employees and contact the campus Disability Management   Coordinator, when appropriate
  • maintain confidentiality of employee medical records and accommodations
  • participate, as mandated by law and UC policy, in the interactive process and provide reasonable accommodations to our employees
  • follow-up to ensure that the accommodation is effective

To access the Reasonable Accommodations and the Interactive Process training, simply log into the UCSC Learning Center; enter Reasonable Accommodations and Interactive Process in the search function, then, select the training module.
